Overview

The Google Tag Manager course modules will run through core tag management, focusing specifically on Google Tag Manager. The Google Tag Manager introduction course is a hands-on training experience orientating around a purpose-built training website. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Introduction to GTM

This module offers an introduction to tag management, including what it is, why you would use a tag management platform, its limitations and risks to avoid.

Object Introduction

Here you’ll develop your understanding of core terminology, such as containers, the data layer and a tag, as well as implementing Google Tag Manager, creating a container and deploying on a website. You’ll also learn how to create a simple tag, trigger, variable and folder setup.

Debugging and Publishing

In this module, you’ll develop your understanding of how to apply various debugging methods. You’ll also cover managing version control and deploying changes to live and development environments.

Real World Implementation examples

An in-depth module, in this section you’ll cover Google Analytics tag implementation, including: pages, events, enhanced ecommerce, custom dimensions and overriding the Google Analytics payload. It’ll also cover in-built and custom click tracking, utilising predefined and custom variables, multi-facetted triggers, virtual page tracking, 3rd party tracking via predefined tags such as Double Click, and custom HTML implementations such as Facebook.

Prices

Each training course takes place from 10am to 4pm, and the price of each course includes refreshments throughout the day and lunch. You’ll also receive a training certificate after completion of your course.
