The office design, build and furniture company K2 Space is based in Islington and counts Adobe, Beats, Belstaff and Morgan Stanley among its clients. Their new website was designed and developed by Leeds-based digital agency Epiphany.

The Brief

The challenge was to deliver a responsive design website that helped K2 Space to increase its online profile and audience, and generate sales enquiries for its office design, fit out and furniture services.

The website needed to appeal to different personas: from informed property professionals, like architects and facilities managers, to less informed professionals such as CEOs and office managers - while not property experts, these individuals often find themselves being responsible for decisions that relate to office fit out and furniture.

Strategy and execution

With Epiphany being experts in search marketing, we had complete confidence in their ability to create a technically SEO-perfect website,” explains K2 Space Marketing Director Graham Smith.

That gave us more time to focus on content. This included explaining our services in a straightforward manner, answering common questions that we get from our clients and creating useful resources that help visitors with typical office interior challenges.

The website design includes professional photographs of office interiors. CSS, HTML5 and Javascript animation is used to highlight the number of desks, square feet of the space and weeks taken for all case studies. This gives visitors a clear understanding of the scope and timetable for an office fit out or refurbishment.

The design also needed to reflect the diversity of K2 Space’s client base and modern office requirements. 

Smith explains, “Our clients range from private equity firms to ad agencies. While some are very much about the corporate experience for their investors, others don’t want anything corporate. This is why you’ll see the Beats office in Clerkenwell next to Platinum Equity in Mayfair, for example.” 

The website includes a number of galleries of office boardrooms, receptions, breakout areas, kitchens and more, which provide inspiration for those looking to address their office design. It also has a photograph-led blog that combines company news with resources and opinion pieces.


The website launched on time with the project taking four months to complete. Organic search traffic has increased significantly since the launch, and the site is being displayed as ‘mobile-friendly’ in Google’s mobile search results.

Future developments are planned, including an interactive calculator that allows you to work out projected fit out and furniture costs which are based on specific requirements and the size of your office space.
