We are thrilled to announce that Epiphany was named Yorkshire Graduate Employer of the Year at an award ceremony by Graduates Yorkshire yesterday.
Epiphany was shortlisted in the category for 'medium' size companies, those with up to 250 employees, against four other nominees. When revealing the winner, the judges commended the process Epiphany have in place of taking graduates through all areas of the company to give them skills, experience and understanding in of all aspects of the business- not just for their current roles, but for their future careers.
Graduates Yorkshire stated that the winners for each category were selected for demonstrating 'a real commitment to the professional development of graduates as well as engaging with universities and their communities' and the judging panel has also highly rated Epiphany's level of innovation and creativity as a business.
The glamorous evening was held at Anthony's Piazza in Leeds Corn Exchange and featured a Yorkshire theme of local entertainment and cocktails. The award was presented to Epiphany CEO, Rob Shaw and Heather Millar, who was previously on the Graduate Scheme at Epiphany and is now Marketing Executive for the company.
After the award ceremony, Rob said "I'm pleased and immensely proud. This is testimony to the hard work that has been put in by the team who designed the scheme initially and for our graduates who have made it a success."
The awards were judged by three independent judges: Simon Hill of Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation; Ian Ford of The Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services; and Lewis Coakley of The National Union of Students.
The judging panel commented on their decision, stating that "This company really take graduate recruitment and development seriously, both for the benefit of their organisation and the wider industry. Their enlightened attitude means that they understand that whilst not all graduates will stay on with them, there is still value in developing talented people for the industry as a whole. Their sense of mission in doing this came through very deeply."
We are very proud that all of the Graduates who have taken part in the scheme so far are in permanent roles through various departments within the company now and we look forward to the next intake of graduates on the scheme very soon.
Photos from the ceremony and presentation will be posted on our Facebook page.
