This month Google released its new version of image search, accessible by pointing your browser here. At first, nothing looks new. However, it is now possible to drag and drop images from either your hard drive or straight from another website. The idea being that Google will analyse your image and search for similarly related images stored on its servers, which can also be combined with the normal text based search. This is extremely similar to Google Goggles first seen in December 2009 for Android phones. This did a rough version of what the new image search can do now, and was evidently a testing ground for this month’s unveiling. (more…)

- Find keyword themes to gear the website to for long term success
- Find key phrases/pages where concentration can quickly, and cost effectively, improve sales/leads (called ‘low hanging fruit’).

Google SEO Faux Pas With Their New wdyl.com Site

This week Google launched www.wdyl.com, short for What Do You Love, which is a showcase of all their widgets and products that they offer to users.
The site invites a user to search for anything they wish, then using such apps as Google Maps, Products, Images and SketchUp, presents them with a range of related information based on their search query. (more…)

The SEO industry is one that pretty much changes every other day. Search engines are always updating and ‘improving’ their algorithms to get rid of web spam. New tools are introduced which are supposed to aid productivity, and new regulations come out which maybe or may not affect the industry.
