Browser Wars: The Demise of Internet Explorer

So the browser data for February 2012 is out (kindly provided by Stat Counter), and it’s not good news for all those IE lovers out there…if there are any.
IE 8’s usage has dropped below 20% for the first time, while Chrome continues to scale those dizzy heights to get to almost 30% of worldwide usage. Firefox (v 4+) has seen an improvement too, and this is mainly due to version 10 being much more bug free than earlier versions. (more…)
AdCenter Broad Match Enhancement Launches in the UK
Tuesday, January 24th, 2012Back in August 2011, Microsoft adCenter announced that they were rolling out the launch of their ‘Enhanced’ Broad Match keyword match-type (aka. ‘Broad Match Enhancement’), but it seems that it’s only now in mid-January that this improvement is about to kick in to my UK accounts. Improved Features for Microsoft’s adCenter User Interface

Yahoo Organic Search Results Now Powered by Bing

It has slipped by relatively unnoticed, but on Wednesday (August 3 2011), Yahoo’s organic search results in the UK changed to be powered by Bing. This brings the total number of countries where Yahoo is Bing-powered to 17; this is another stage of the deal struck by Microsoft and Yahoo back in 2009. (more…)
