The Ford Lakeland Challenge
Friday, September 24th, 2010I thought I’d stray from my usual on-line related topics this month to write a brief race report from the recent Ford Lakeland Challenge the Epiphany Directors have just completed. A number of our clients and many staff were generous enough to make donations for the Wooden Spoon Charity we were supporting (a really great and little known outfit that does some amazing and innovative work to bring smiles to disadvantaged children in the UK – www.woodenspoon.com). All we had to do was canoe Britain’s longest lake, cycle its steepest pass and climb up and down its highest mountain, how hard could it be? (more…)
What can my 3 year old tell you about usability?
Wednesday, August 4th, 2010Well I’ll be honest, she wouldn’t necessarily put her feelings into words that well (despite an astounding vocabulary – where do they get it all from?) but after watching her interact with apps and websites on my iPhone, it tells me a lot about how valuable an intuitive interface can be.
We spend a lot of time advising clients on their PPC & SEO campaigns and increasingly on the conversion rate and usability of their website. Why break our backs with best in class PPC & SEO if everyone hits a brick wall with the destination website? (more…)

I just completed the worlds toughest Ironman 70.3 race! Sorry, I had to work that into the blog post somewhere and I thought it was best to just get it out there in the open.
During a painful 1.9k swim, 90k bike ride and 21k run you get a lot of time to think about a decent blog post and I started to draw the analogy of my favourite sport (Triathlon) with my business passion of Search Marketing. (more…)
