Epiphany was born out of a desire to specialise in search. We've got a passion for intelligent, creative and remarkable digital marketing.

  • Epiphany is born, with support from Leeds Metropolitan University's Business Incubator, out of a desire to specialise in the emerging field of search marketing. That early decision to specialise, rather than go full service, still drives the business forward today.
  • The team grows to 5, including the first maths graduates who are reverse trained in search marketing. These graduates go on to become our senior analysts, crunching terabytes of data to develop search campaigns based on rigorous scientific analysis.
  • Social enters onto the scene and we pioneer advertising on Facebook. 20 members of staff by Christmas 2007.
  • A year of real growth as Epiphany recruits ten more staff into its SEO, PPC and client services teams to deliver results for a growing client base.
  • Epiphany becomes one of only seven companies to achieve the Google Conversion Professional accreditation as a conversion rate optimisation partner. A raft of new recruits, including MD Rob Shaw, means we have 35 in the team and the business continues to grow. We employ Prince2 trained project managers as our web development team grows, moving to totally refurbished offices on The Calls in Leeds to meet our plans for continued growth. A host of new client wins including MYA and JD Williams who we've been working with ever since.
  • Awards start to roll in. Epiphany creates a new R&D team, developing its web development and social media offer, bringing in new specialists and training them in search marketing. 56 members of staff, with Client Services growing quickly in order to give great customer service. We launch Search Dashboard, giving clients immediate reporting and insight into their search campaigns. We open the London office, working in Clerkenwell. A host of new client wins including Pets at Home, Misco and Debenhams who we've been working with ever since.
  • We invest over £300,000 in creating three new departments to keep ourselves at the cutting edge of search marketing. Online PR, design and copywriting are now a key part of all of our campaigns and we move into a second office in Leeds. Epiphany launches its first Graduate Scheme, developing the search marketing talent of tomorrow. We also add multilingual search expertise to our portfolio. 84 people work for Epiphany by December. A host of new client wins including Teletext Holidays, CBI, Kempinski and John Greed.
  • A new model of corporate governance is launched and Epiphany enters a new phase of growth. Watch this space…
  • 2012 our best ever year, growing our headcount to over 100 and winning a host of new clients including Virgin Holidays.

Our team includes mathematicians, designers, statisticians, developers, copywriters, PRs, content marketers, project managers, programmers and a host of other experts who are all reverse trained in search marketing.
